2S4Y: LAURA Sketch #20 + SOME BOOBIES
{Arty Girlz & Basic Grey}
Laura's sketch no.20 over at 2S4Y was way too enticing for me not to create my own interpretation of it. This is such a well-balanced sketch which I thoroughly enjoyed and might attempt a scrapbooking layout based on it. All the stamping was done with acrylic stamps I received during a Xmas swap last year. The bling was also some freebies I received during previous card challenge entries.
Seeing that all the patterned cardstock is from Basic Grey's Two Scoop's range, I have also entered it into this week's Basic Grey challenge which is pink and green colours.
And of course the cute butterflies make the creation also eligible for Arty Girlz challenge which is butterflies. So please hop over to all these great challenge blogs and enjoy the gorgeous talent of their Design Teams.
Here's a peek at yet another watch slider bracelet commission. Well, as you all know, Michelle loved here bracelet, so lets hope that this one will also be a winner. I just love the olive green Sarovski crystals of this creation, it goes with so many other colour combinations.
At last here are some of my niece Heidi's baby shower which took place on 31 January. She received some lovely clothing items as well as loads of cute baby blankets. Can't wait to see Marko in the cute camouflage outfit ... shoes and all. Heidi's cesarean is scheduled for 10 March which is less than 2 weeks from now and she says that she can't wait, as she is getting so heavy, uncomfortable, hot and bothered and walks like an old lady up and down their home's staircase. Heidi, just hang in there, once you're holding little Marko in your arms, all the sacrifices would have been worth it.
Liesl, Heidi's younger sister, made sure that all us ladies at the baby shower were thoroughly entertained. She even had a general knowledge quiz sheet with the theme of 'Mother' featuring in all the answers. After the baby shower, the husbands were put to the test by the same quiz and it was conclusively evident that women knew more about motherhood ... which is the way it should be. But hats off to the men, as they took all the ladies' bambinos to a local coffee shop in Hartebeespoort Dam, where they entertained and fed the bambinos, whilst the ladies enjoyed themselves.
Liesl drew this cute Ellie which by looks of it, is crazy about his dummy and boobies. The ladies had to close their eyes, were then spinned around a few times to disorientate them and then had to try and put the dummy in Ellie's mouth. Naturally this resulted in roaring laughter. The elder ladies with more life experience behind them, left the younger ladies in the dust and walked off the prizes for this competition.
Off to get going on layout designs for the 13 June 2009 Makaranga Scrapaganza down in Kloof, Durban.
Thanks again for your lovely comments and for making some time to peep into my life.

SPRING HAPPINESS
{Dutch Dare & CCT Challenges}
This week's challenge over at Dutch Dare is a gorgeous sketch by the talented Cathy. Of course I could not wait to ink up my latest winnings and here it is. It stamps beautifully and also gave me another chance to get my H2O's out of the drawer once again.
It definitely was a morning of over eagerness. After a session at the gym this morning, I even had the urge to carry the theme on the front of the card through to the inside. Yes Bev, this is especially rubbing off from your side. Always staring in amazement at how beautifully you finish of the insides of your creations, I could not but help myself.
The challenge over at CCT for this week is 'Signs of Spring' and I do think that this fits the bill perfectly.
At Heidi's recent baby shower, Alisha kept on prompting me to take some photos of her, and of course this keen bambino photographer could not refuse. Once again Alisha was a real cute poser, but after every pose she wanted to see how she looked on the digital camera's screen. Yes, so her keenness to be photographed, was not really because she likes to pose, but only to see herself on the camera ... definitely another addict to instant gratification. I am sure you will agree, she is a real photogenic beauty!
Thanks for taking some time out, to pop in here, once again and also for all your lovely comments. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

WEDDING BLISS and some JEWELLERY
Above is another watch slider bracelet I made for a commissioning. You know who you are and I sure do hope that you will like it. Its in the post on its way to you. Libby, if you are reading this post, yours is in the making and should be off to you early next week. Thanks girls I really appreciate your support. And of course I so enjoy creating these.
You regulars would probably recall that I mentioned during December that I was going to be one of the ad hoc photographers at my DH sister's son's wedding on 3 January. Not being the main photographer and having the liberty of setting up scenes for shots, I had to be satisfied with mostly side-on view points, I am not totally happy with some of the photos. But, I always say that even if there are only one good shot amongst 800+ photos (that's about the amount of photos I took), its all worthwhile.
Below are then a few shots I took at Angelique and Enrico Nell's wedding. Seeing that the colour combo for the wedding was black and white and Angelique's dress had black embroidery, I adjusted the colours of the photos to mainly black and white. The couple has not seen any of the photos I took as yet, so please bear with the long post, as I am sure they would enjoy seeing some of the photos here.
It was a pleasure to photograph Angelique as she is such a spontaneous person and naturally photogenic. And I can say the same of Enrico who is a real humble and down to earth guy.
Oh yes, whilst we on the topic of love, Mr Weaver was once again not lucky with his love nest as it seems awfully quiet in the vicinity. So lets hold thumbs that love is meant for him, third time round.
Thanks for looking. Wishing you all a fantastic weekend with lots of fun and rest.
SKETCH SATURDAY WINNINGS ....
Remember this card I did for Sketch Saturday's sketch no.36 (see sketch below). I could not believe it, but my card was the winning interpretation of sketch no.36.
I received these gorgeous acrylic stamps from Pollycraft Crafts in the post this morning. Thank you so much Paula for spoiling me. I can't wait to ink up these newbies.
Off to do some more Doing Life posts. Thanks again for popping in.
