MANLY THROW CAL - PART 1

MANLY THROW with PUFF STITCH GRANNIES

Trust my fellow crochet enthusiasts will enjoy my Crochet Along (CAL) I have created for this masculine throw project.

PART 1 – 36x Squares
{Repeat below for another 35 squares}

STITCHES USED

chain (ch)

slip stitch (sl st)

single crochet (sc)
(put hook in space pull up loop and pull through both loops on hook)
half double crochet (hdc) (put wool around, put hook in space pull up a loop and pull through all three loops on hook)

double crochet (dc)
(put wool around, put hook in space pull up a loop, pull through first 2 loops on hook and then pull through last 2 loops on hook)

treble crochet (trc)
(put wool around twice, put hook in space pull up a loop, pull through first 2 loops on hook, pull through first loops on hook again and then pull through last 2 loops on hook)

puff stitch (puff st)
(put wool around, pull up loop, repeat twice more, pull through all 7 stitches on hook)

cluster stitch(cluster st)

MATERIALS USED

Solid Brown = Lollipop - Hazel (5x) 100g balls
Variegated = Charity – Brown Fox (9x) 100g balls
Hook = 4mm

1st Round (Solid Colour)
Start with a magic ring and do 2ch up (count as first dc) + 15dc into ring and close with sl st into top of first 2ch and fasten off. (16dc).

2nd Round (Variegated Colour)
Join with new colour in top chain of any dc from previous round and do 1ch and do puff st in same space + 2ch. Do 15 more puff st, one into the top chain of each of the dc’s from the previous round with 2ch in between each puff st. Join with sl st into the top of the first puff stitch and fasten off.
(16 puff sts with 2ch in between)

3rd Round (Solid Colour)
Join with new colour in between any two puff sts from previous round. Do 2ch up (counts as first leg of cluster), put wool around, pull up loop and pull through first 2 loops.  Repeat twice more and then pull through all 4 loops. 1ch
Put wool around put hook in between next two puff st from previous round and pull up loop. Pull through first 2 loops.  Repeat 3 times and pull through all 5 loops on hook to complete a cluster, 1ch.  Repeat 14 more times. (16 clusters with 1ch in between). Join with sl st into the top of the first cluster stitch and fasten off.


4th Round (Variagated Colour)
Join with new colour in between any two cluster sts from previous round. Do 2ch up (counts as first dc), Do another 2dc in same space.  Do 3dc in next 15 spaces with no chains in between.  Join with sl st in the top of the first 2ch. Do not fasten off.


5th Round (Variagated Colour)
Do another sl st in the top of the second double crochet.  And do another sl st into the space between the first two sets of 3dc. 3ch (counts as first trc.  Do another 2trc + 2ch + 3trc into the same space.
**3dc in between two sets of 3dc of previous round x3. 3trc + 2ch + 3trc in next space.**
Repeat three times **to**. Sl st into top of first 3ch. Do not fasten off.

6th Round (Variagated Colour)
2ch up and do a hdc into the same space as the 2ch. Do a hdc into the top of the next stitch.  Do 2hdc + 2ch + 2hdc into the corner space.
**Do a hdc in the top of the next 14 stitches and 2hdc + 2ch + 2hdc into the corner space.**
Repeat **to *** two times.
And do 11hdc on 4th side and slip stitch join into top of 2ch up and fasten off. (14hdc per side and 2hdc + 2ch + 2hdc in corners)

    1. Hi, jammer ek het nie jou naam nie, maar eks so bly jy gaan saam met ons hierdie projek aanpak. Ek het die notas hierby aangepas, jy het (9x) 100g van die Charity Brown Fox (variegated kleur) and (5x) 100g van die Lollipop Hazel (bruin kleur) nodig. Laat maar weet of dit jou vraag antwoord.
