ANNIVERSARY with some BLING
Hi everyone. I am back at last after a lengthy absence in blog land. This week's DT challenge over at Dutch Dare Card Challenge is to create a card with some bling. Very dear friends of ours are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary this upcoming weekend and I thought it fit to create this card with some silver shiny brads and ribbon to celebrate this fantastic milestone in their lives.
As you will see on the pic with the tools below, quite a few punches were used for all the various shapes. A mini envelopes template was also used to create the two open envelopes for the tags with the 25 on. The words believe, trust, honor, respect and admire are some acrylics from my stash and are the words I think describes how a happy couple gets to 25 years of being happily married. Thanks Michelle for the lovely 3D rub-on brackets, they worked like a dream.
I received this lovely award below from Linda who has really moved me with her kind words:
"... I also have one other person I would like to award this to....my DH and I found this AMAZING blog as I was having a look around the great BLOG EMPIRE - I have to say this Blog is so amazing - and it is: Desire http://desiref.blogspot.com/ Desire's life looks amazing and it reminds me of the sentiment I had on the first card I ever uploaded 'We are here to live OUT LOUD!' you will see what I mean when you visit (if you haven't already!! Thank you Desire for reminding me that mediocrity can be a cold place to dwell!!! I am inspired by you and your blog on so many levels - and that is invaluable!!! God bless you"
Linda I am humbly honoured by the above. Please visit Linda's blog to have a look at her beautiful card creations.
I am going to be very naughty and pass this award on to all my dear blog friends who always take the time to pop in here and leave such heartfelt comments. So please help yourselves to this lovely award and pass it on to all your own dear blog friends, but remember to leave a comment here to say that you have accepted the award.
We have just returned from five blissful days at Cathedral Peak in the Northern Drakensberg, KwaZulu Natal and are still nurturing a sore muscle here and here after a creating a memory that will last with me and hubby for the rest of our lives, but more of this in my next post.
Thanks again to all of you for your visits and kind comments ... please know that each comment are read and really appreciated.
