A FAMILY IS A GIFT THAT LASTS FOREVER

This week was a recovery week for me after completing a 25km mini marathon road race last Saturday in Pretoria.  I only had four 30 minute sessions on the treadmill and five sessions of 30 minute stretches/weights this week on my training schedule, but really struggled through them as the body was still in recovery mode.  Only started feeling rested yesterday.  Also had two hourly sessions of physio to ease out some aches and pains - the years are definitely taking its toll.  I also celebrated another year in my life on Monday and was truly spoilt by all my family and friends.  Thanks for making me feel so special. 

So enough yakking and onto my card. I just fell in love with this digi stamp from Free Vintage Downloads and could not wait to create something with it.  The chappie in the middle seems like he is sulking a bit, probably been mischievous.  Once again its an easel card and I used H2O's and dry chalks to colour the image.  The flowers were stamped with Making Memories Acrylic stamps and also coloured with dry chalks.  The buttons were thread with white raffia.  The design papers are from FabScraps and Art from the Heart.  The striped design paper is from my scraps file and I can't remember the paper house.  Hope you like.
