{DT Project Tammy's Scrapin Corner: Challenge #29}
Its Heritage Day (a public holiday) here in South Africa today. Its also National Braai-day (barbeque) day. We have already celebrated yesterday, braai-ing some rump and sirloin steak accompanied by a homemade mushroom-cheese sauce and some oven roasted vegetables as well as a toastie which is a sandwich with apricot jam/onion/tomatoe/cheese which is also toasted on the braai.
This week our theme for Challenge #29 at Tammy's Scrapin Corner is a Design a Card for a Kid. I used a QKR digi image called Little Boy. You can find it here. This cute digi brings back childhood memories of growing up on a farm where we used to catch tadpoles in the rivers and dams. I often gave my school friends, who were mostly from the city, bottles filled with water and tadpoles, which of course were quite exciting for them. Frogs were regular visits inside our farm house and we often marked the frogs with nail varnish and took them back to the river, just to have the exact same frogs back inside our home, not many days afterwards.

Once again I used my favourite centre step card technique and coloured the little boy with H2O's and the sentiment with dry chalks. The photo turns and buttons were from my stash. The circle embellishments were created with various circle punches.
I sure do hope that you will play along with us over at Tammy's Scrapin Corner and link up your card for a kid to our Challenge #29, here.
