{DT Project Tammy's Scrapin Corner: Challenge #33}

Ran the SA Bureau of Standards 10km road race on Saturday in the beautiful city of Jakarandas, Pretoria, South Africa.  It was a beautiful route with sections passing underneath a canopy of purple flowering Jakaranda trees. I must say the thousands of runners motivated me to just keep on going till the finish.  

This coming Friday, we are off to the friendly  coastal city, Port Elizabeth, South Africa, for the weekend.  We are having another family wedding Saturday morning and yours truly is the official photographer once again. Late Saturday afternoon, I have to set up my shop {Doing Life Scrapbooking} at a venue just outside of Port Elizabeth, where a 2-day Scrapbooking conference is taking place.  I have been invited to guest teach a class  on Sunday morning - so looking forward to this. But, onto some cardmaking business again ...  

This week our theme for Challenge #33 at Tammy's Scrapin Corner  is  Trick of Treat. I used the  Autumn Breeze image from QKR.  You can find her here.   Love this quirky and fun image.

So hold onto your seats its not another centre stepper card, but an easel card for a change. I coloured her with H2O's and dry chalks.  The fun little paper folding border at the bottom was created with folding circle punches (see the tutorial for this further on in this post). All the circle embellishments (lollipops) have also been created with various circle punches.

Here is the tutorial for the folded border design at the bottom of this card:

• Punch-out circles with a circle punch - I have used a 1.5" circle punch here.
• Ink the edges of the circle punch-outs.
• Fold the circles in half
• Then fold the two sides in towards the centre fold line.
