{Digi Stamps 4 Joy DS4J: DT Project Challenge #70}

I am so thrilled, as I got to present our new bi-weekly challenge over at DS4J's challenge blog.  The theme that I chose for Challenge No.70 is FOLDED EMBELLISHMENTS.  

Another Centre Stepper design on which I have used a double pinwheel embellishment created with scalloped square punches (see tutorial below).
I have used the following gorgeous images from DigiStamps4Joy:

The image was coloured with H2O water colour pencils and the skin tones with Copics. The sentiment was coloured with dry chalks.  The sentiment is a freebie from Paulette {Create with TLC}.

My passion in crafting is creating affordable embellishments from paper off cuts, for my crafting projects.

Today I am showing you an interesting way to create double pin wheel embellishments with scalloped square punches. For my card I used a 2” scalloped square punch.

TUTORIAL FOR DOUBLE PIN WHEELS

Make a pencil mark in the centre of each square. Cut halfway towards the middle point from each corner.

  

Then fold each corner towards the middle, without making a clear folding line. Ensure that all the squares’ corners are folded in the same order and direction.

Mount two different coloured folded scalloped squares on top of each other, as follows and attach a brad to the centre of each pin wheel.
