THE BOOK OF ME (BOM)

{Challenge No.1}
Yes, you won't believe it, but yours truly is at last taking part in a challenge. This is, however, a very special challenge. Us scrappers always seem to do layouts with photographs we took of other people and we end up never featuring on any of our layouts. The same goes for the journaling ... we hardly journal about ourselves. So this is where the importance of the 'Book of Me' (BOM) Challenge lies in that we are allowed to scrap and journal about ourselves and leave a personal legacy for those generations to follow in our footsteps. At least we would have lived life here on earth, leaving a small part of ourselves behind.
So this is my INTRODUCTORY page to my BOM:
The Introduction to myself reads:
Maiden Name Van Tonder Born 7 May 1964 In Port Elizabeth South Africa Parents
Never knew my biological parents. I was in an orphanage till the age of 3½ when I was adopted by Roelof & Phoebe Walters. Siblings
I don’t have any biological siblings. My adoptive parents had a daughter of their own who passed away in January 2008. Marital Status
I have been happily married to Conroy for nearly 24 years. We don’t have any bambinos as yet. Residence At present we are residing at Fernridge Estate, Fourways, Johannesburg. Career
I have been a fulltime PA and bookkeeper for 23 years. At present I am self-employed as a Scrapbooking Teacher and have founded and manage an online scrapbooking shop i.e. Doing Life’s Online Shoppe.
It is not too late to start participating in this challenge. Pop over to Tracy's blog and register.

  3. Hey Desire

    Thanks so much for joining in the BOM fun - it'll get even more exciting - sometimes a little sad and introspective and other times, funny - but well worth the effort in the end. I will be back on track with Challenge No. 2 before the end of this week.

    Your layout is gorgeous - thanks for sharing so openly about yourself - I love to see REAL LIFE and it is always a priviledge to be a part of somebody else's life.

    Love, Tracy
