SUNSHINE on a cloudy day ...
{DT Project Tammy's Scrapin Corner: Challenge #36}

Its been a fab weekend spent with family celebrating my niece's birthday - true African style - with a potjie.  A potjie is a traditional African cooking pot made of cast iron and have 3 legs.  A stew is made in a potjie and cooked slowly over coals on an open fire.  Very yummy.  Hubby and me also ran a local 10km road race in Irene, Pretoria, South Africa on Saturday.

But onto my card .... This week our theme for Challenge #36 at Tammy's Scrapin Corner  is  Anything Goes - another nice and easy one.  I have been very industrious this week making two cards with images the design team received from two sponsors.  For the first card I used one of my favourite digis from Eureka called Best Friends Sitting and you can find it here.     I am a bit on a tangent at the moment and left the image uncoloured again, but used paper piecing with green design paper to add colour.  I also printed the image on yellow design paper instead of plain cardstock.  The sentiment is from Create with TLC.

Here is a tutorial for the paper folded circle embellishments:

I would love to take my chances over at the following challenges with this:
  1. One Stop Craft: Anything Goes
  2. Alphabet Challenge: T is for Tags, the sentiment is on a tag
  3. ATC's and Cards with Attitude: Add a Sentiment/Anything goes
  4. Splendiferous Bloggers Challenge: Paper Piecing
  5. Crafty Catz: Anything Goes
  6. Inspire me Fridays: Anything Goes
  7. TotallyPaperCrafts: Cute and Girly
  8. Crafty Creations: No Flowers

  17. Stamps & Fun= Creativity: Anything goes
  18. Love to Create: Fancy Edges
  19. Pin and Tack: Anything goes
  20. Lady Anne's: Anything goes
  21. The Pink Elephant: Punches or Dies

Merry Christmas ...

For my next card I used Sexy Santa from Sassy Studios and you can find her here.  I coloured her with H2O's and fussy cut around her.  I did some paper folding with scalloped square punch-outs for the embellishments.  Never thought a pink Christmas could be sexy ... lol

So onto some challenges with my card again:
