REMINISCING - 4 December 2006

Being on leave today, I had some precious spare time, to finish all those loose ends as far as my scrapbooking layouts and card orders were concerned.

It took a whole day to put the finishing touches to Candice Greenway's layout of 25 November, the three folder index cards being the most time consuming. I related my whole life story in a nutshell on these 6 pages and I must say that if it was not for this layout, I probably never would have put my growing-up years into writing. It was kind of therapeutic and conjured up both happy and sad memories of my past. Writing things down helps getting it out of the system and to move on and live for the moment and ponder the future.

I also completed another wedding card order for Julie Dawson's friends Ronnie and Fern. Hope you like it Julie.

Wow Desire! Your layout is absolutely beautiful, I love the way you've made it your own :o) You have done such a fabulous job with the index cards too, they are jam-packed with the most wonderful, touching, heartwarming memories of your childhood. I agree with you - it's very therapeutic to reminisce every now & then and chronicle both the happy & the sad - that's what is so wonderful about scrapbooking, it's a journey, not only looking back, to the places we've been & the friends we've made along the way, but also a journey into ourselves, & what we love, & who we want to be.
