DOING LIFE

A NEW YEAR, A NEW COLOUR - Wednesday, 30 January 2008

They say that a change is as good as a holiday ... so I made a change ... yes, to the colour of my hair. I went a bit darker with some natural blonde highlights as well as some layering.

I got up this morning and just felt like a change and visited the hair salon just across the road from our estate and was I in for a treat ... a treat that lasted more than three hours. From a head message, whilst they wash your locks to a hand message. I really felt pampered, and the personnel made every client felt special and important ... service you seldom find these days. It was also a first for me having a male hair stylist, Pieter from the Free State, changing my locks.

Whilst waiting for my hair appointment, I noticed that a new coffee shop, Frappe, has opened its doors, in the same shopping centre across the road from us i.e. Dainfern Valley Shopping Centre. It was Frappe's first day and everything they served was for free as they were doing a dry run ... so yours truly had a cuppocino on the house.

Paula, you asked for it, here it is ... I did that self-portrait photo shoot ... a tricky situation to get yourself within the camera's frame ... but I managed ... and here is my new hairdo. Now you see it ... now you don't because I would never be able to blow dry my hair this way myself.
