SCALLOPED EDGES & GUINEA FOWLS
{World Card Making Day: 4 October 2008}

My dear friend and Doing Life's chair lady was so kind in having yours truly in her thoughts when she purchased a stamp for me with an aloe on it, at the recent Hobby-X Expo in Durban. Unfortunately, she did not know that I already had my eager clutches on this stamp, and only realised this when, a few days after her purchase, she saw a card published on Doing Life with the exact same aloe stamp on it.
So, true to Michelle's nature, she quickly had a sneaky plan up her sleeve and went to her local craft shop where she approached the shop assistant to swap the stamp around for another design which Michelle knew was just up my sleeve. Hence, I could not wait to ink this beauty for a creation.

I just could not resist Kazan's Sketch #10 over at the 2S4Y challenge blog and of course it gave me a chance to stamp my gift not once, but twice. Guinea fowls are one of my favourite game birds here in South Africa. The birdie to the far left here just has the most mischievous expression and is definitely taking the mickey out of the duo looking on. But, then it could be a cock showing off his best features in front of two interested hens ... let me know what you think.

This creation I also entered for another two challenges i.e. the Basic Grey Challenge blog where this week's theme is scalloped edges, as well as the Dutch Dare Card Challenge blog where the theme is wild animals. The last challenge I have entered this card for is over at Seasons' of Change. Sherrie wanted us to create a card with our favourite product and of course mine has always been Basic Grey for nearly five years now.

Please take the time and visit these three challenge blogs and have a look at the stunning creations of the DT members.

Once again, thank you to all the Doing Life faithfuls and for all the lovely comments rolling in each week. I read and appreciate each and every one.

Thank you for stopping by and having a look.

PS: Hope you have made a card today to celebrate World Cardmaking Day!!!

- Signing off in appreciation of Mich
