The Challenge over at Dutch Dare this week is to create a card with this fantastic sketch by Wilma.
I've used another of my recently acquired stamps. This was such a great image to colour in and my H2O's did their magic once again. I used another of Doing Life's versatile templates for the shape of the image. I re-discovered an old template in one of my template lever arch files and used it to create the three folded flowers. I have to admit that this template is brand new and got used for the very first time here and that after lying dormant for 5 years ... shame on me ... I hear all say.
The cardstock are all from Basic Grey and the sentiment is computer generated and reads: Enjoy the LITTLE things, for one day you may look back and realise they were the BIG things. - Robert Brault This is so true, as we all tend to focus on the big things in life and the special little things often seem to slip by unnoticed.
Once again I was being diligent and finished off the inside of the card by carrying the theme of front through. Below are all the tools that were used to create this card ... hope it gives you an idea. The Fold-It Swirls template is definitely going to be hard at work from now on. I have also entered the card once again for some other challenges:
- ABC Challenge: Flowers
- Stamp Something: Think Spring
I know I have been a bad girl in not posting some pics of our recent Cape Town visit, but I promise it will get posted here. We saw my niece's little baby boy, Marko for the very first time this weekend and is he a real cutie, already breaking a few hearts. I was quite emotional touching and picking him up. And of course over 300 photos were taken of Marko on his 11th day birthday. If I must say so myself, there were really some magical photos of him with Mom and Dad. Okay, I know I am just making you all very impatient waiting for some pics ... but I am sure the wait will be all worth it. I hope you all had a relaxing weekend and that the batteries are charged up for the coming week's commitments. Thank you again for stopping by and for all your lovely comments.
Fabulous card. Love the image and the colours you've used. Michele x
