Another Dutch Dare Design Team project where the challenge this week is to decorate the inside of your card. I have inked up another stamp, which has been collecting dust, for this image and used my H2O's to colour it.
All the cardstock is my favourite Basic Grey once again. I also thought that this creation suited the challenge over at One Stop Craft Challenge this week which is Let's hear it for the boys, as all the design elements are quite masculine and will be ideal for a man/boy. The sentiment is from Creative Memories' clear sticker range.
The theme on the outside has been carried forward to the inside via the duplication of the image.
As winter is here to settle, some of the aloes in our garden has started to sprout some blossoms/cones. Below are two pics of some of the Aloe Marlothiis sporting some new flower shoots.
In just a few days the above flower shoot has flourished into a bit more colourful cones below. The idea is to monitor this flower shoot as it develops into a beautiful cluster of aloe flowers.
I have also hanged a bottle with nectar in one of our fever trees and it is attracting all the fruit eating birds to our garden. The bottle is from our local pet store and comes with instructions as how to hang it and how to make your own nectar by mixing brown sugar and water until the sugar is diluted. Will remember to take a photo of the nectar bottle and post it. Wishing you all a wonderful June 2009 and remember Father's Day is on the 21st here in South Africa. Thanks for all your lovely comments.

My Sweet, Sweet Desire,
ReplyDeleteWhenever I come to visit, I see so many things that are simply GORGEOUS! I know that if my intention is to sit for a while and roam around your blog, I need to have a warm cup of tea, a comfortable chair, and make sure I have plenty of time to "ooh" and "aah."
Your card is lovely on every front. I love the photos of the aloe you took and look forward to seeing more. I have never seen aloe flowers. I am sure I could look the flowers up on my computer but I am choosing to wait and see your future posts! :-)))))
