{DT Project Tammy's Scrapin Corner: Challenge #22}

My niece, Liesl is getting married to her sweetheart Mario this coming Saturday.  They are getting married in a forest near the Kruger National Park (South Africa).  Yours truly will be the official wedding photographer. Its a public holiday (Women's Day) this Thursday, here in South Africa and we will be leaving on the holiday (about 5 hours drive from our home), to check into a chalet and Thanda Nani Private Game Reserve for the long weekend and of course for the exciting unusual wedding ceremony.

This week our theme for Challenge #21 at Tammy's Scrapin Corner  is a Show Us Your Bling.  I used a Bugaboo digi image called Bugaboo Digi Stamps.  You can find it here.   

Once again using my favourite step card technique (you must be getting a bored with my step cards - bit of a one-trick pony I am), and this is what I created. .  The design papers were from FabScraps.  


For the second time only, I tried my hand at paper piecing (... not yet a one-trick pony ... ha ha ha) and paper pieced the red flowers on the image.  Printed the image once on white cardstock and then a second time on red cardstock.  Then I cut out the flower sections from the red cardstock and mounted them with foam tape on top of the printed image on the white cardstock.

The following card was made with the DigiStamps4Joy Friday Freebie, called Garden Gate. I superimposed (merged) the Juvenile Trio of Birds DS4J image onto the Garden Gate digi.  The colouring was done with H2O's and flowers stamped with Making Memories Acrylic Stamps.   Make sure to visit DigiStamps4Joy to snatch this lovely free digi stamp.  The sentiment was from TLC.

{DT Project Tammy's Scrapin Corner: Challenge #21}

This week our theme for Challenge #21 at Tammy's Scrapin Corner  is a Anything Goes.  I used two digi images from Digi Stamps 4 Joy, namely Punkette Pia and Punkette Pat.  You can find Pia here and Pat here.   

Once again using my favourite step card technique, this is what I created. I have used H2O's to colour the funky Punkettes.  The Doodles were stamped with Chiswick acrylic stamps.  The design papers were Basic Grey.

DS4J has released a whole bunch of wonderfully designed new digi images on Sunday.  As a a design team member I had the privilege of receiving this gorgeous little sleeping baby digi called Nap Time, to create with.  Its an easel card. I used H2O's to coloured her with and the sentiment is a freebie from Desert Diva.

{Sweet Stampin: Guest DT Project}

Tracey from Sweet Stampin approached me during April 2012, inviting me to be a guest designer for them for a month.  Thank you so much Tracey, I am very excited designing four creations for the month of July for you.  So this is my fourth and last Guest DT project for the 4th challenge for July over at Sweet Stampin.  The Theme is 'Christmas in July!'.  

I have created another easel card with my favourite Flower Folding technique using only squares. The flower on this card has been created with 5x5cm scalloped square punch-outs using my Upikit punch. I saw this technique being demonstrated on YouTube . Using double sided Upikit design cardstock gives it an extra dimension. This whole card even the backdrop to the folded flower has been created with 5x5cm square punch-outs. 

At least I've got another Xmas card for 2012 done and dusted.

{DT Project Tammy's Scrapin Corner: Challenge #19}

This week our theme for Challenge #19 at Tammy's Scrapin Corner  is a Summertime.  The  design team were very fortunate that they could choose any digi from Bugaboo.  My choice was Sceneit Ladybugs and you can get this cute image here.  

Its a tent card and this is what I created with the Summertime theme.  The design papes are from my stash.   I have used H2O's to colour the image.  The butterflies with stamped with acrylic stamps.  Hope you like and will all play along this week and we cant wait to see what you create with our Summertime theme. {Sweet Stampin: Guest DT Project}

Tracey from Sweet Stampin approached me during April 2012, inviting me to be a guest designer for them for a month.  Thank you so much Tracey, I am very excited designing four creations for the month of July for you.  So this is my Guest DT project for the second challenge for July over at Sweet Stampin.  The Theme is 'Use the colours of your: nation's flag'.  Needless to say that I am proudly a South African and just love the vibrant colours of our flag (see below). 

I am also proud to be on the Design Team for Digi Stamps 4 Joy and have used the adorable Sally.  You can purchase her here.  She was coloured with H2O's (see the colours used below).  The large flower were punched with Creative Memories' Jumbo Scalloped Circle punch.

The artists at  Digistamps 4 Joy have been busy creating a lovely mixed bag of images again, and you can see the line-up HERE on the blog. 

The Design Team members each received a new release image to do a creation with. I was so pleased receiving Travelling Tracy and I sent her off to Paris for some 'me time'.  

The Paris backdrop was a free digi download from Free Vintage Digital Stamps.  Just right click on the image and save it to your computer.  I also would love to see what you create with it, if you choose to use it.

{Sweet Stampin: Guest DT Project}

Tracey from Sweet Stampin approached me during April 2012, inviting me to be a guest designer for them for a month.  Thank you so much Tracey, I am very excited designing four creations for the month of July for you.  So this is my Guest DT project for the first challenge for July over at Sweet Stampin.  The Theme is Paper Piecing and actually this is the very first time I have tried my hand at paper piecing and really enjoyed it.  It might just become a new favourite technique for me.

During April this year I made the Top 3 at Poodles Parlour Challenge blog for one of my card creations (see sidebar) and won seven lovely digi images from Digi Garden.  Gorgeous little Lottie was one of them and I tried to bring her to life with this.  She was coloured with H2O's.  Her dress and head band was paper pieced.  The aqua flowers behind Lottie was stamped with acrylic stamps.  The flowers were created with EK Success punches.

10 days to go to our Knysna Forest Marathon on 14 July and butterflies have started to do their flutterby's.

Here is my DT Project for our next challenge over at DS4J's blog .  The theme for Challenge No.45 is Use Black, White and One Other Colour (Except Skin Tones).  I have created an Easel Card using this lovely 'Zebra' Digi Stamp from DS4J's shop.  You can find the Zebra here.  The Zebra tiles were coloured with H2O's.  Oh, and before I forget, can anyone spot the design oops on the card?
