UPCYCLED MILK TIN

UPCYCLED EMPTY BABY MILK FORMULA TINS
{Warning Photo Heavy Post}

It was cute little Nina's FIRST Birthday on 4 February 2015 and her dear mom, Jeanine has been saving all Nina's empty milk formula tins for me to use in my upcycling projects.  So I thought it fit to upcycle one especially for Nina to gift her a 1st birthday gift with.  I have used the cute little dancing elephant from QKR Stampede which you can purchase here.  The folded embellies have been created with scallop square punches. The sentiment is from Hannelie (Desert Diva)

... and here are some photos of the photo shoot I did of Nina's cake smashing celebrating her first birthday.  The grown ups had more fun than little Nina, as she is a very neat little girl and did not want to get dirty at all.  It was more a cake caressing than a cake smashing photo shoot, lol. Nina's mom Jeanine, baked and decorated the beautiful cake - such a shame to have to dig into it.

XMAS TEA BOXES

UPCYCLED EMPTY TEA BOXES
{Warning Photo Heavy Post}

Happy Boxing Day to all my bloggy friends and I trust that you all had a blessed Christmas yesterday or just felt the love and peace on the day, if you do not celebrate Christmas.  Me and the hubby had a very peaceful day, just the two of us, as we already had our family celebrations last Saturday.  It was also my niece, Heidi's middle son's 9th Birthday celebration on 20 December, so it was a double festive celebration.
I baked some homemade chocolate crunchies and fruit squares to fill these empty tea boxes with.  I decorated the boxes with BoBunny design papers and the sentiment is from DIGISTAMPS4JOY called JOY N PEACE and can be purchased here.  The sentiment has been coloured here and there with Copics.  The flat pearls are from my stash.

ONE STITCH AT A TIME {CS Designs Recycle, Re-Purpose & Re-Invent Challenge Blog}

{CS Designs Recycle Challenge}

I was so thrilled when the lovely and very talented Chris Stern from CS Designs approached me to do a guest designer project for her December Challenge.  And of course I did not even hesitate with the YES answer.

Chris gave me this awesome SEWING SERIES to play with.  Now this set has everything you will need for any sewing themed projects.  And I am sure you will agree, they are just so versatile.
Here is a link to Chris's online shop i.e. CS Designs.

The CS Designs Recycle, Re-Purpose & Re-Invent Challenge is all about upcycling any items you would have trashed.  I have used an empty baby milk powder tin for my project.  A friend of mine has a 9 month old baby girl and goes through about 5 of these tins a month and has been saving the empty tins for yours truly.  The tin is quite large and makes for a lovely container gifting a gift with.

Here is the link to CS Designs Recycle, Re-Purpose & Re-Invent Challenge
Hop over and have a look at me and the other guest designer(s) projects and reduce your carbon footprint here on earth by upcycling an item and enter it into the challenge.  The them is Anything Goes.

For my project I used cardstock circle punch-outs for the folded embellishments.  I have coloured the buttons on the lid with Copics.  The brads and buttons are from my stash.  The measuring tapes round the top and bottom of the tin is also part of the Sewing Series, so too the image on the lid, the sentiment and the manikins,

Once again I would love to try my hand at the following challenges with this creation:

613 Avenue Create: Anything Goes + Optional Twist
Sister Act Card Challenge - ATG

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - ATG
Its all about the Vintage - Home made embellishments - (the folded embellishments have been created with circle punches)

Thank you for stopping by and I trust that you enjoyed your visit here xxx
