This week's challenge put to the design team over at Dutch Dare is an open challenge i.e. create anything you will enjoy. As I mentioned in the previous post on Friday, I have acquired five new stamps from Great Impressions at the Hobby-X show and couldn't wait inking them up. So here is one of them. Isn't Tortelina just adorable and so sharing with the space on her back, even little Miss Snaily couldn't resist a slow and easy ride amongst the flowers in the garden! But, oh dear, I don't know whose the fastest here.
Once again Sketch Saturday's great sketch of this week, got me started with the creation. The flowers and the sentiment were stamped with Black Archival ink and then chalked with dry chalks ... haven't used my dry chalks for a while and have forgotten how I enjoy colouring with them. The image were also stamped and then coloured with H2O's. The patterned cardstock is once again my favourite Basic Grey.
For the inside I stamped a second image and also used Doing Life's Airline Shapes template to get the same shape as on the front, but this time just a close up of the image. I have also entered this creation for the ABC Challenge whose challenge this week is D for Distressing as I have torn the cardstock around the sentiment as well distressed the edges of some of the cardstock with inks.
These were the tools that aided me in the creation. Thank you for stopping by once again and for all your lovely comments. Hubby and I are off to Cape Town on Wednesday where he will be continuing with his coaching qualification at UCT's Graduate School of Business for 4 days. We will be back Monday afternoon. We will be staying at the Waterfront, so I am looking forward to taking some photos of the scenery around there. I haven't been in the Cape for about six years. That's all for now.

ReplyDeleteHi Desire! Sorry I have been out of touch...been so busy that blogging was forced to the back...gee I've missed it tho'...Hope you are now back safe & sound with lots of awesome pics to show us on your blog soon. Love how you have showed a photo of your tools/materials...what a great idea...I have just bought myself a set of fiskars decorative scissors (6 in a pack) as the one's I had were all plastic - even the cutting edge - & were just rubbish. Carl is also a great make. Tortelina is a cutie ;-)
