{DT Project Tammy's Scrapin Corner: Challenge #36}
Its been a fab weekend spent with family celebrating my niece's birthday - true African style - with a potjie. A potjie is a traditional African cooking pot made of cast iron and have 3 legs. A stew is made in a potjie and cooked slowly over coals on an open fire. Very yummy. Hubby and me also ran a local 10km road race in Irene, Pretoria, South Africa on Saturday.
But onto my card .... This week our theme for Challenge #36 at Tammy's Scrapin Corner is Anything Goes - another nice and easy one. I have been very industrious this week making two cards with images the design team received from two sponsors. For the first card I used one of my favourite digis from Eureka called Best Friends Sitting and you can find it here. I am a bit on a tangent at the moment and left the image uncoloured again, but used paper piecing with green design paper to add colour. I also printed the image on yellow design paper instead of plain cardstock. The sentiment is from Create with TLC.
Here is a tutorial for the paper folded circle embellishments:
I would love to take my chances over at the following challenges with this:
Merry Christmas ...
For my next card I used Sexy Santa from Sassy Studios and you can find her here. I coloured her with H2O's and fussy cut around her. I did some paper folding with scalloped square punch-outs for the embellishments. Never thought a pink Christmas could be sexy ... lol
